Pastor Idun: A Question From A Brother

A brother and sister who are not married can't be friends or seen together.

When they are seen together all the time, it connotes something else, and that is not what we stand for.

Greeting sisters after church is normal, but it shouldn't be a particular sister everytime.

Anonymous: A Question From A Sister

God bless you, Pastor. I would kindly like to know what to do as a married woman if I realise my husband is so engulfed in social media and others than in the things of God.

As you have been saying and as the Bible also says, the man is the head of the family and by that we as the wife and children expect so much from Him when it comes to the spiritual growth of the family but in a case where social media and other things have taken his attention, what should I do as a wife. Sometimes, I feel I get so much on his nerves with that, but it's a bother to me, too.

I have tried several times to prompt him about it, but it always ends up the same, and he never gets away from it. It seems very much like an addiction now. It's really a problem for me and I would be happy if you could advise me on this.

I must say that I have been telling the Lord about it in prayers but I believe the willingness should also be on his part to have the desire for the things of God and place God first in all he does.

It also seems to me that he places importance on other things more than the things of God.

Please help me because I am almost at the end of the road on this very issue.

Pastor Idun: A Question From A Sister

Find out exactly what engages him on social media so that your prayers for him will be specific. Is he engaged in politics, fashion trends, etc.?

As Christians, we are not supposed to be addicted to anything but two things. We are supposed to be addicted to the WORD and prayer only.

What you have to do is to continue to pray for him and talk to him. If he has the Spirit of Christ, he will listen and change. Prayer works.

Anonymous: A Question From A Sister

Good morning, Pastor. I will please like to know if it is wrong for message believers to play games like musical chairs, tug of war, ampe, lime and spoon and the other ones we played at church on the 6th of March. I am asking because I have heard the minister of the church we did the games with has condemned our games we organised at the church. God bless you, pastor.

Pastor Idun: A Question From A Sister

None of the games we played on the 6th of March was against the Message we stand for.

What you heard is true, unfortunately.

The minister didn't only condemn us but actually lambasted us in his sermon. I don't really know whether he's still following the prophet's Message because the only games I know the prophet condemned were playing of cards, gambling, and the hula loop, which he mistakenly called hula hoop.

Maybe he thought Prampram church is a bunch of ignorant people who don't know what the Message is about.

What surprises me is that the minister knew we were going to have games with his church and yet chose to lambast us after the event.

Because of the way people twist their waists, making themselves sensual when they're playing the hula loop, the prophet condemned that. He also said, in many places, that cards and gambling are games of the underworld.

THE VOICE OF GOD IN THIS LAST DAYS 1963

"They invented a little thing called, the kids used to call the "hula-hoop", hula-hoop, or something. And if you ever noticed the vulgarity and the things that follow that lot, in the little children. That's not right."

THE CALLED OUT 1958

"And gambling, it used to be in the dens and dives of the low underworld, has become that every time company comes, they get out the cards and go to playing. It's still sin."

Because by God's grace, we're not ignorant about what the Message is, we didn't play cards, gambling or hula loop.

I thank God that in Mount Sunset Church, the prophet's Message is our absolute.

Since the prophet has never mentioned in any of the quotes that it's wrong for believers to play games, we are not out of the will of God.

Being a Christian or a Message believer doesn't mean just go to church, don't be happy, have no games, and have a boring life. I don't know how others understand this Message

Let's not look at what other churches are saying or doing. Let's focus on the Word revealed by our Prophet.

The most important thing is that the Lord is mighty in our midst. Let's continue to be humble and serve the Lord the best way we know how to.

Anonymous: A Question From A Brother

Pastor please why would a married message brother leave his believer wife and go out with painted-face women who wear trousers and do all the abominable things the prophet speak against and still come to church? Pleasr does it mean they don't believe the message? Someone ask me this in town and I feel ashame.

Pastor Idun: A Question From A Brother

How are you? I hope you are doing well?

There are many people who, when they fall into sin, in tears, they thoroughly repent and pray to God never to go back to that situation.

There are others who are not converted and do not really know the seriousness of sin and the danger of hell, so they hung around sin as though it is some common thing. They do not value their soul.
They think they can play church and still be in the world. It's a fearful thing because they can't inherit the Kingdom of God.

What is also strange is that they lust after worldly women who cut their hair, paint their faces, wear trousers and shorts, and do not respect the Lord. The truth is that such a brother does not believe the Message he claims to believe. Though Brother Branham screamed against ladies painting their faces and lips, cutting their hair, etc. a man who is not converted does not see anything wrong with such things. So instead of rebuking it, he actually falls in love with ladies that do that.

1st Corinthians 6:9-10
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall Inherit the Kingdom of God.

Brother Branham said our soul is worth more than 10,000 worlds, and a wise man will not trade his soul and heaven for some filthy worldly pleasure.

Brother Branham said the following:

INFLUENCE 1963, paragraph 13

"And especially after you have said and made your confession that you are a Christian, they'll watch you much closer then, and that gives an influence to--to the people that's around about you. And we should watch what we do. Because, if we produce the wrong influence, then we bring reproach, not so much upon ourselves, but upon what we claim to be: Christians. We bring it upon Christ."

WHAT WENT YE OUT TO SEE 1959, paragraph 27

"God doesn't send you to hell for being a sinner. God sends you to hell because you won't repent and take Christ as your Saviour. You refused to take the right road. You send yourself to torment. You send your own soul to its eternal destination upon the free moral agency of your own convictions. "

Continue to pray for the Church that the life of every believer will be completely surrended to God for the hour is late.

Anonymous: A Question From A Sister

God bless you pastor. Please I want to know what will make someone a member of the church. I know that in the denominations, they have membership. Please did the prophet say anything about this topic. Thank you pastor.

Please a follow up question. What about if I haven't been baptised, but I attend church everytime and pay my tithes and offerings. Will I be seen as a member.

My second question is, please, how will you know if I pay my tithes since I don't write my name on the tithe envelope.

Pastor Idun: A Question From A Sister

Good question. I have spoken about this before but I guess you were not around the time I said it.

In PLACING OF DEACONS 1958, the prophet said, "And the church ARE THOSE who come and support the church with their presence, with their tithes and offerings, are always the ones that has the legal say-so in the placing of such"

So, there are three things that identify a believer as part of a local assembly:

(i) Their presence
(ii) Their tithes and
(iii)Their offerings

So, a church member must be doing ALL THREE to be considered a member of a particular church.

Being baptised in water puts you in fellowship, making a public declaration that you have believed, and being baptised with fire (the Holy Ghost baptism) puts you into the Body of Christ. The assumption is that before you begin to fellowship and pay your tithes and offerings, you must have been baptised in water in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For tithes not to be mixed with offerings, tithes are always enveloped. The envelopes must have on them the names of those paying because a record is kept of all tithes and offerings of the church as long as the church lives. So write your name on the envelope each time you pay tithe.

Brother Branham said, "The church's responsibility is first towards its members."
So when the church is undertaking any responsibility or obligation towards anyone, it first considers whether the person to be helped is a member, because it has a responsibility FIRST towards its members.

The pastor and the trustee are the only ones who have the privilege to know those who pay tithes and those who do not pay tithes. RECORDS MUST BE KEPT. Branham Tabernacle kept records.
